I had a great stay at the Bunkhouse! The value for money was excellent and the room, although simple, was very clean. The location was perfect for my West Highland Way hike and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The free shuttle bus was a lifesaver after a long day of walking, and the cafe on-site was a convenient and tasty option for meals. I loved the vibes and meeting people from all over the world.
The breakfast selection could use a little improvement, especially when it comes to porridge options.

The staff were welcoming and made us feel at home. the showers and kitchen facilities were excellent, and the beds were really comfortable. the food at the bistro was delicious, and I especially loved the risotto. After a long day of walking, the hot tub was a godsend. Don't miss this perfect stop on the WHW!
Nothing that I didn't like. 😊.

The staff at the Bunkhouse were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort during our time on the WHW. They even prepared a delicious home-cooked Thai dish for us and checked in with us throughout our journey. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests and were willing to go the extra mile. Thank you to the staff for their exceptional service and dedication. Cons: Can't fault anything about it. 😊.

Located in a scenic area, perfect for biking or walking. the old church atmosphere in the dining hall was unique and charming.
The hostel rooms are extremely small, with no room for luggage and cramped beds. the bunk rooms felt claustrophobic and uncomfortable, with little space to move around.

Great vibe and fun atmosphere, making it perfect for a lively New Year celebration. the friendly staff were accommodating and understanding, even when we arrived late at night due to unforeseen circumstances. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent showers and the comfortable, clean beds that ensured a good night's sleep. the common areas were well-maintained and the dry room was a bonus for drying out our wet gear after a day of hiking.
In certain areas. the beds in our room were a bit lumpy and you could feel the springs, which made for a slightly uncomfortable sleep.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at the Bunkhouse while hiking the West Highland Way. The staff were kind enough to give us a lift up the hill, which was much appreciated after a long day of walking. The rooms, although small, were cozy and served their purpose. The restaurant on the upper floor had delicious and filling food, and there were comfortable chairs for relaxing and chatting with fellow travelers. Despite the crowded drying room, our wet clothes did eventually dry. I would highly recommend this place for weary hikers like us.
